  • Work with groups of children identified as needing additional pastoral care.
  • Support teachers in identifying and implementing strategies to help children self-regulate and access learning, including reviewing behaviour targets as required.
  • Contribute to development and delivery of programmes that foster positive attitudes, motivation, self-esteem and educational achievement.
  • Work with individuals or small groups on specific aspects of need through various strategies and structured interventions.
  • Identify personal, community, family and school issues affecting children and young people.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Mentor to engage with outside agencies and families to support children in and beyond school.
  • Teach whole classes or groups to cover absence or release time.

  • Teach whole classes or groups of children, as required,particularly to cover absence or release time.
