Job summary

The Vale Primary Academy invites applications for a part-time HLTA/TA Level 1 to join our school in October 2026 on a permanent basis. You will work under the guidance of teachers to support pupils in accessing learning and maintaining an effective classroom environment.

As HLTA, you will enhance curriculum delivery, assist with planning, and support staff development while supervising classes during short-term absences.

Qualifications

• HLTA or equivalent experience in a teaching environment
• TA Level 1 qualification or equivalent
• Ability to support pupils to access learning and assist the teacher

Responsibilities

• Work under direct instruction of teaching/senior staff in the classroom
• Support pupils to access learning and aid classroom management
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences and assist with planning and resource preparation
