Job summary

The Vale Primary Academy invites applications for a part-time HLTA/TA Level 1 to join our school in October 2026 on a permanent basis. You will work under the guidance of teachers to support pupils in accessing learning and maintaining an effective classroom environment.

As HLTA, you will enhance curriculum delivery, assist with planning, and support staff development while supervising classes during short-term absences.

About this Role

The Vale PrimaryAcademy are looking to appoint a HLTA and TA L1 to join ouracademy in October 2026 on a permanent, part time basis.

Your new role

As a TeachingAssistant Level 1, you will work under the direct instruction oft eaching/senior staff, usually in a classroom with the teacher. You willsupport pupils to ensure they can access learning and provide general supportto the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

As a HLTA, you will complementteachers' delivery of the curriculum and contribute to the development of othersupport staff, pupils and academy policies and strategies. You will workcollaboratively with teaching staff and assist them in the whole planning cycleand the management/preparation of resources. You will supervise whole classesduring the short-term absence of teachers. You will provide support to pupils,teachers and the academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all, byutilising your advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting withplanning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes and to encourage pupils tobecome independent learners. You will provide support for pupil welfare andsupport the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of academy life.
