Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is recruiting experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join partner primary schools across Cheshire East from September 2026. You will support pupils across EYFS to Key Stage 2, deliver planned lessons in teachers’ absence and lead intervention groups, ensuring high-quality classroom support.

Applicants should have an HLTA qualification or substantial HLTA-level experience, strong classroom management, and be comfortable working with diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or significant HLTA-level experience.
• Previous experience working in a UK primary school.
• Confident leading whole-class learning when required.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Flexible, proactive and positive approach.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Two references covering last two years of employment history.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Provide classroom support across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.
• Lead small group interventions to raise attainment.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
• Assist with planning, assessment, and classroom preparation.
• Promote a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents/carers where appropriate.

Premier Education Ltd are currently working in partnership with a number of primary schools across Cheshire East who are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join their teams from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different year groups and is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, deliver planned lessons in their absence, lead intervention groups, and provide high-quality classroom support.
