Job summary

The Education Network Durham & Newcastle is seeking a Progress Lead / Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full‑time position in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves one-to-one and small group support, assisting with learning activities inside and outside the classroom, and helping pupils with special educational needs.

You must hold HLTA status and have recent experience with young people, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• HLTA status required.
• Experience with young people within the past 2 years.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate required, or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students
• Assisting with learning activities in and outside the classroom
