Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover at a primary school in Southport. The role involves leading lessons and managing a classroom for Years 1–5 during Maternity cover, with a focus on continuity of learning and pupil engagement.

The successful candidate will have prior PPA cover experience, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to different year groups.

Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – PPA Cover

Location: Southport

Weekly Pay: £550-£650 (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (maternity cover)

About the Supply Role:
We are seeking an experienced HLTA to provide PPA cover across Years 1 to 5. The ideal candidate must have previous experience delivering PPA cover and be confident leading lessons, managing a classroom and adapting to the needs of different year groups. Qualifications and requirements:

• Experience covering PPA as a HLTA in KS1 & KS2.

• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through us.
• Ability to provide 2 references.
