Job summary

Windsor Academy Trust seeks a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teachers by delivering learning activities to individuals or groups. You will meet students’ intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs while contributing to the school’s vision and values.

Your daily duties include planning, assessing, and providing feedback, leading pastoral support, supervising classrooms, and collaborating with staff. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Higher Level Teaching Assistant or teaching assistant preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual pupil needs.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and assessment: plan, prepare, deliver learning activities; monitor progress and provide feedback.
• Specialist support and pastoral care: develop individual development plans to support learning.
• Classroom and cover supervision: provide short-term cover and manage non-timetable pupils.
• Leadership and collaboration: observe line management duties and support parents and carers.
• Safeguarding: uphold child protection, health and safety policies consistently.
