Role: HLTA in Stockport

Full Time: 5 days per week, 8:30am to 4:30pm

Salary: £21,000 to £23,000

Essential Criteria: HLTA experience

The School:

Simply Education is currently working in partnership with an SEMH Secondary School in Stockport currently seeking a HLTA. This SEMH setting provides bespoke learning opportunities for young people aged 11-16 with Autism with associated social and communication needs, trauma, and attachment. The classes are small, with no more than 6 students at any time; the school focuses on changing students’ mindsets and equipping them with tools for future success.

The HLTA role:

The school is looking for a SEND HLTA with experience working in a SEN or SEMH setting. Due to location, a full, clean driving license with own transport is essential.

Responsibilities of a HLTA:

  1. Deliver lessons to small classes of around 4-6 students
  2. Build rapport with young people, support staff, and parents
  3. Utilize computer software; strong ICT skills required
  4. Promote equal opportunities and ensure student safety
  5. Attend regular CPD sessions
  6. Deliver targeted SEND learning interventions
