Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic HLTA for a long-term role in the PR25 area starting September 2026. The position supports class teachers by delivering planned lessons, supporting learning across year groups, and raising attainment for pupils with varying needs.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a primary school setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to raise attainment.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs to achieve their full potential.
