Job summary

Supply Desk are partnering with a welcoming primary school in Banbury, Oxfordshire, seeking a confident and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development while working closely with teaching staff across the school.

As HLTA you will deliver planned lessons, support across year groups, and provide targeted intervention to raise

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in a primary school setting.
• Confidence delivering lessons across year groups.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support teaching and learning across a range of year groups.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide targeted intervention and raise attainment.
• Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning activities to meet pupils' needs.
• Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents, and carers.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, ensuring all children can access the curriculum effectively.
