Academics are seeking an experienced and hardworking HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) with a keen interest in developing their skills in teaching for a school in South Gloucestershire. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate looking to get into teaching and build confidence in the classroom—delivering lessons and managing classroom behaviour.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality education to children, playing an active role in providing a solid foundation for their academic journey.

The HLTA may cover various classes across key stage 2, supporting lessons across the curriculum. All necessary tools and support will be provided to deliver engaging lessons. If you have a particular strength or interest in a subject or year group, the school will try to place you accordingly.

Ideal candidate:

• Have a degree and/or relevant experience in a school setting.
• Recent experience of teaching or supporting in a UK classroom.
• Good behaviour and classroom management skills.
• High expectations of children’s behaviour and outcomes.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently with a proactive approach.
• Motivated to undertake training and development.
