Job summary

Mainstream Primary School in Gloucester is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary teaching team. The role covers PPA across a couple of year groups, supports learning across the curriculum, and works closely with staff to keep pupils engaged and on track.

Competitive PAYE daily rate (£95-£120 depending on experience) with flexible working and access to training and CPD. This is a great opportunity for long-term placement.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience covering classes.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a couple of year groups.
• Provide PPA cover when required.
• Support small groups and individual pupils.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety or is looking to secure a long-term placement.

As an HLTA, you will be expected to provide PPA cover across a couple of year groups, support learning across the curriculum, and work closely with school staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and on track.
