Job summary

Werneth Primary School is seeking a SEND-focused SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our expanding Inclusion Base. The post is permanent, 39 weeks per year, with 1 x 36.66 hours per week starting from January 2027.

The role supports primary-aged children with social communication difficulties within a two-form entry school and the Pinnacle Learning Trust. The salary is pro rata (£35,570–£39,481) with actual salary £31,073–£34,490, reflecting hourly pro rata for 39 weeks.

Qualifications

• HLTA or teaching assistant experience, particularly with SEND
• Ability to work within an Inclusion Base and support pupil learning
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with social communication needs within the Inclusion Base
• Assist class teachers with planning, assessment and intervention
• Contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment for pupils and families
