Job summary

Qualifications

• HLTA status or substantial experience leading learning.
• Good knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Experience delivering literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Strong organisation, communication and classroom management.
• Reliability and safeguarding awareness across different school settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher-planned lessons or group activities where authorised.
• Provide whole-class PPA cover, maintaining clear school routines.
• Run targeted literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Monitor understanding and share assessment feedback with permanent teachers.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and follow safeguarding and school procedures.
