Job summary

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary Academy is seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant to complement our team. The successful candidate will also cover classes throughout the week and should hold at least a Level 3 qualification to work with nursery-aged children.

This combined role includes duties as a TA as well as a HLTA, with 20 hours designated for HLTA tasks and 12.50 hours for ETA work, across the school.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification required to enable work with nursery aged children.
• Ability to work across teaching activities and support learning.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant (TA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning activities across the class environments.
• Cover classes throughout the week as needed.
• Support children's development and welfare in a safeguarding compliant setting.
• Work across the school to provide flexible cover and assistance.

Job description

The successful candidate will also have responsibility for covering classes throughout the week. The successful candidate should have at least a Level 3 qualification to enable them to work in ratio with nursery aged children.

This is a combined role where the postholder will work as a Teaching Assistant as well as a HLTA.
