Job summary

Lightwater Village Infant School and Nursery is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term basis to support teaching and learning. You will work under the Headteacher to help pupils access high-quality, inclusive education and contribute to a safe, engaging environment.

The role requires delivering planned lessons, supporting pupils with a range of needs, preparing resources, maintaining records, and collaborating with colleagues and parents.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above.
• HLTA qualification or working towards.
• Experience delivering lessons to whole classes.
• Ability to adapt learning strategies and manage behaviour.
• Strong organisational skills and resource preparation.
• Excellent communication with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning across the school.
• Deliver planned lessons and support pupils with a range of needs.
