Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support primary schools across Colchester and surrounding areas. Roles include full-time and ad hoc supply work, covering lessons, leading intervention groups, and supporting pupils across EYFS to KS2.

Candidates should have an HLTA qualification or substantial UK primary school experience, with strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills. A DBS update service or willingness to obtain one is required.

Full-Time & Ad Hoc Opportunities Available Colchester

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a range of welcoming primary schools across Colchester and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and development, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and interventions. You may be required to cover classes in the teacher's absence, lead small group sessions, and provide targeted support to pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
