Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology team is growing in Yorkshire and the North of England, and we are seeking a talented Project Manager to support delivery of complex capital projects within hospital environments.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting the delivery of construction projects and/or programmes, ideally within live operational environments.
  • Working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and project teams.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timescales.
  • A desire to develop professionally and progress towards managing increasingly complex projects and programmes.
  • Experience within the healthcare sector, or comparable highly regulated environments such as life sciences, manufacturing, public sector or infrastructure.
  • Membership of, or progress towards membership of, a recognised professional body such as RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE.
  • Project management experience across property, infrastructure or major capital investment programmes.
  • Commercial awareness and sound financial management skills.
  • Experience working within large, multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
  • An understanding of sustainability, decarbonisation and net zero considerations and their impact on the built environment.

  • Managing project delivery by coordinating technical resources, stakeholders and supply chains to achieve project objectives, programme milestones and performance outcomes.
  • Championing safety first and embed quality, governance and service excellence principles throughout delivery.
  • Managing programmes, budgets, risks, procurement and project change to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaborating to drive innovation, digital delivery and net zero objectives, creating sustainable value for clients and communities.

The project: As our Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology team continues to grow across Yorkshire and the North of England, we are seeking a talented Project Manager to support the delivery of complex capital projects within hospital and healthcare environments.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing team delivering some of the region's most significant healthcare programmes. You will work alongside experienced project leaders, supporting clients through all stages of the project lifecycle, from business case development and procurement through to construction and operational readiness.

You’ll Be Responsible For
