Job summary

RGB Network is seeking an experienced HIU Service / Breakdown Engineer to join its London-based team on a mobile role. You will service, maintain and repair Heat Interface Units and district heating plant across a range of modern residential developments.

The role offers a competitive salary of £42,000–£45,000 plus up to 10% monthly performance bonus, a company van with fuel card, paid travel time, generous holiday entitlement, overtime at enhanced rates and private healthcare, with ongoing

• Strong mechanical plantroom experience essential.
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair Heat Interface Units (HIUs)
• Diagnose and rectify faults on district heating systems
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Attend reactive breakdowns across London
• Work on associated mechanical plantroom equipment
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards

An established and growing building services specialist with a team of around 27 employees, delivering maintenance, design, installation and project solutions across London. The business specialises in district heat networks and works on a range of mixed-use, residential and commercial developments.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced HIU Service / Breakdown Engineer to join the team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and fault finding on Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and associated district heating plant across London.

This is a mobile position working on a variety of modern residential and mixed-use developments, ensuring heating and hot water systems operate safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• Previous experience servicing and repairing HIUs
• Strong mechanical plantroom experience is essential
• Experience working on district heating networks
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload
