We seek a motivated and inspiring History teacher to deliver a relevant and differentiated curriculum for KS3-KS5, monitor and support student progress, and serve as Key Stage Coordinator from September 2025. The ideal candidate will use creativity to develop rich, exciting collaborative projects linking curriculum areas. They should be ambitious, adaptable, and possess excellent planning and classroom management skills. A commitment to promoting the subject across the school and improving students' lives is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to teach across different abilities and age ranges, with experience applying knowledge of assessment criteria in History and Politics qualifications at Key Stages 4 and 5. Teaching Politics at KS5 would be advantageous.
This role is suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers.

At A Level, we offer History and Politics, with many students progressing to top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. The department plays a vital role in fostering a culture of tolerance and respect, using history to help students understand their origins and develop analytical and fair judgment skills. We engage outside speakers, including the US Ambassador to the UK, Holocaust survivors, politicians, and individuals with first-hand war and occupation experiences from Israel and Palestine. We also organize trips to historic sites such as medieval castles, WWI battlefields, and Auschwitz.
