About the Role
Our client, a successful and well-regarded academy based in Hornchurch, is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join their Humanities department on a maternity cover basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring History lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team with a strong track record of academic success and a commitment to student progress and wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is enthusiastic about their subject and can motivate students to develop a love of History. ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
Deliver high-quality History lessons in line with national curriculum expectations
Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work effectively
Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment opportunities

Support the department during the maternity leave of a permanent staff member

Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in History or a related field
