Job summary

Academics are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a secondary school in Dover from December 2026, covering maternity leave.

You will teach History across KS3 and KS4, plan, prepare and assess work, maintain high standards of behaviour and monitor progress.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification, has UK secondary school experience, and is committed to raising attainment and engaging students.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching History within a UK secondary school.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and engagement with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Plan, prepare and assess work in line with the school's curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the wider Humanities department.
