Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a knowledgeable History specialist to inspire pupils and deliver high-quality lessons in Bristol. This full-time role is ideal for a committed teacher with QTS, capable of bringing historical events to life and encouraging critical thinking.

You will teach across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE History, plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and support examination preparation while benefiting from dedicated consultant support and paid scale progression through

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school
• Confident teaching across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE History
• Ability to plan engaging lessons and manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Available for a full-time teaching role starting in November
• Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Teach GCSE History and support examination preparation
• Develop pupils' historical knowledge, source analysis and essay-writing skills
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain positive behaviour management and effective classroom routines
• Adapt lessons to meet pupils' varying abilities and learning needs
• Contribute positively to the wider department and school community
