The school benefits from modern facilities that support innovative and engaging teaching. Students are eager to learn, behaviour is excellent, and the school is proud of its respectful, diverse and community-driven ethos. Teachers are supported through a strong culture of collaboration, and there is a clear focus on staff wellbeing and professional development at all stages of a teacher’s career.

The successful History Teacher candidate will:

  • Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4; the ability to contribute to A-Level teaching is an advantage.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of the past.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider work of the department, including curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student achievement and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (UK QTS essential) with a strong academic background in History or a related discipline.
  • A commitment to high standards and to unlocking potential in every student.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom.
  • A passion for subject knowledge and historical scholarship.

Opportunities and Support:

  • Early Career Teachers benefit from a well-structured induction and mentoring programme.
  • More experienced teachers will have access to personalised CPD through the school’s tailored professional learning pathways.
  • Opportunities for career development and leadership within the school and across the wider trust.
  • A supportive department and SLT with a strong track record of student success.
