Job summary

Education Personnel are recruiting a dedicated History Teacher for a Derbyshire school, starting April 2026. The role requires QTS and will involve teaching KS3/KS4 with possible KS5 depending on experience. It is a full-time position with a blend of long-term and permanent prospects.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging History lessons, monitor progress, and contribute to department improvement. Strong behaviour management and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Minimum 6 months of classroom History teaching in a UK secondary setting.
• KS3/KS4 experience with potential KS5 may be required depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 History curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced.
• Plan, prepare, and assess History lessons in line with department policies.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled History educator to contribute to a thriving department and support students at KS4 and potentially History at KS5.
