• Degree educated or strong academic background preferred.
• Experience with young people desirable but not essential.
• Confident, enthusiastic and personable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent behaviour management potential.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 in the absence of the class teacher.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of Secondary subjects.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations throughout lessons.
• Ensuring pupils remain engaged, focused and completing the work provided.
• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis where required.
• Providing additional academic support and intervention for pupils who require it.
• Working closely with Teachers, Heads of Department and the wider pastoral team.
• Developing strong classroom management, communication and leadership skills.
• Gaining invaluable Secondary School experience ahead of potential Teacher Training.
