Teach Now is seeking an experienced Head of History to lead History at a Hertfordshire secondary school. You will combine teaching with departmental leadership, shaping an engaging History curriculum that develops strong subject knowledge, source analysis and independent thinking.

You will lead planning, assessment and examination preparation while supporting colleagues to maintain consistently high standards.

Competenze

• QTS recognised in England.
• Degree in History or a closely related subject.
• Substantial experience teaching History in a UK secondary school.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary History curriculum and relevant examination specifications.
• Evidence of successful teaching and positive pupil progress.
• Departmental leadership experience or clear evidence of leadership potential.
• Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to inclusive teaching, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• The right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check, provide satisfactory references and complete all required pre-employment checks.
• Applicants must hold the appropriate teaching qualifications and training.
