Job summary

East Street Pub Company Ltd is seeking a Pub Manager for Ye Olde Jolly Sailor in Teignmouth. You will lead from the front, drive commercial performance and inspire a hands‑on team to deliver exceptional hospitality in a historic coastal pub.

You will manage daily operations, uphold licensing and safety standards, and collaborate with the marketing team to attract locals and visitors through events and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pub management or similar hospitality role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and financial management.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house, bar and kitchen teams to deliver high service standards.
• Oversee daily operations, service delivery, cleanliness and health and safety compliance.
• Ensure licensing regulations are upheld and financial controls are in place.
• Drive events, promotions and seasonal campaigns to grow revenue.
• Build strong relationships with guests, locals and community groups.
