Job summary

Circle Health Group is recruiting for a Medical Technical Officer in their Histology department in Central London. The role supports delivery of high-quality diagnostic Histology services and involves extended shifts, weekend work, and bank holidays.

The MTO will operate in a busy laboratory, following SOPs and ensuring specimen traceability and accurate processing. A robust attention to detail and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant laboratory experience within a diagnostic or healthcare environment.
• Appropriate science-based qualification such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, A Level, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Undertake a defined range of technical laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Prepare and process tissue and cytology specimens.
• Receipt, identification and preparation of patient specimens.
• Label and route specimens to the correct laboratory pathway.
