Job summary

Circle Health Group in London is seeking a Biomedical Scientist to join the Histology department on a full-time basis. The role involves delivering diagnostic services across the pathology workflow and supporting quality management.

The ideal candidate will hold HCPC registration, a BSc in Biomedical Science, and possess histology experience, including IHC and tissue processing. The position requires flexible shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent acceptable for HCPC registration.
• Current HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist.
• Minimum 2 years' histology laboratory experience.
• Competence in diagnostic laboratory environment and QC/QA principles.
• Experience with histology techniques including IHC and tissue processing.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, analyse and report specimens using appropriate techniques.
• Undertake routine and complex histology investigations.
• Provide scientific advice to clinicians on laboratory results.
• Work with ISO 15189 and UKAS accreditation requirements.
• Train and develop junior staff and manage workload to meet turnaround times.
