Forensic Access in Wantage is seeking a Lab Tech, Admin Support to join a histology team. The role combines practical laboratory work with essential administrative duties in a forensic setting, under supervision.

Applicants must have five years UK residency for security clearance. The position offers a Monday–Friday 37.5-hour week with on-site duties at Wantage and opportunities to develop lab and admin skills within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Requires accuracy in handling specimens and data entry.
• Good communication with team and supervisors.
• Ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines within a histology setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, label and record specimens with traceability.
• Enter and retrieve case information using lab and admin systems.
• Store, archive and dispose of specimens and records per procedures.
• Perform routine prep and basic lab tasks under training and supervision.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and manage waste.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Monitor stock, place orders and assist with stock control.
• Support document control, filing and correspondence.
• Adhere to health and safety, quality and information governance.
