Job summary

GAP Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our Plant & Tool division. You’ll manage daily hire requests, coordinate with drivers and fitters, and handle customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy in a busy depot.

You’ll drive stock availability to meet demand, identify sales opportunities, and deliver exceptional service with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume hire desk or busy depot is preferred.
• Excellent customer service with a commercial edge.
• Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming and outgoing hires per day across a wide range of plant and tool equipment
• Processing hire desk administration and handling customer and supplier queries with speed and accuracy
• Ensuring stock levels meet demand and identifying opportunities to maximise sales

What You'll Be Doing

• Ideally proven experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a commercial edge and a drive to increase sales
• Strong communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail
• Confident IT skills, including Outlook and Excel
• A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative
