Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a Hire & Sales Coordinator for our fast-paced Non-Mechanical division.

You'll be the first point of contact for customers, handling hire requests, coordinating logistics and resolving queries to keep operations running smoothly. In this customer‑driven role, you’ll convert opportunities into sales, manage stock levels, work with drivers and fitters, and deliver exceptional service in a busy depot environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service with a commercial edge and ability to grow sales.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident IT skills including Outlook and Excel.
• Able to work in a team and also use initiative.
• Experience in the plant & tool hire industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing hires across Non-Mechanical equipment.
• Process hire desk administration and handle queries with speed and accuracy.
• Ensure stock levels meet demand and identify sales opportunities.
• Coordinate with drivers and fitters for timely deliveries and collections.
• Resolve customer and supplier issues professionally.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Hire & Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic Non-Mechanical division which offers the latest, industry-leading Non-Mechanical Plant equipment including pedestrian / crowd control barriers, temporary security fencing, trench boxes, bogmats, magnetic rail barriers, road plates and more.

About You

What You'll Be Doing

• Resolving customer complaints and supplier issues with professionalism and efficiency

What You'll Bring

• Ideally proven experience in a high-volume hire desk or similar fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service skills with a commercial edge and a drive to increase sales

• Confident IT skills, including Outlook and Excel
