Travis Perkins Hire in Borehamwood is seeking a Hire Manager to drive sales, lead a high-energy team and integrate Hire into the wider Travis Perkins branch. You will develop a proactive sales plan, train colleagues, and ensure equipment safety across a busy operation.

Based at the Borehamwood branch, you will manage a loyal customer base and enjoy career development within the UK’s leading builders’ merchant network. Monday–Friday shifts with a comprehensive benefits package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool hire or plant hire preferred.
• Leadership experience or proven ability to lead a team.
• Sales or customer service background acceptable.
• Safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Crushing Sales Goals: Develop a winning sales action plan and drive results beyond the targets.
• Coaching & Training: Level up the team on everything tool hire, sharing knowledge and keeping everyone on point.
• Keeping Things Running: Ensure tools and equipment are safe, well-maintained and ready for action.
• Stock Control: Balance stock levels to meet demand and prevent overstocking.
• Leading the Team: Oversee day-to-day Hire team activities, training and motivation.
• Top Service: Be the go-to for customer queries, upselling and delivering smart solutions.
• Communication: Lead daily toolbox talks and clear team communications.
