We are looking for a Hire Driver/Fitter to join us at Hirebase Sunderland!

Our teams of highly competent, experienced, and friendly staff work closely with our suppliers to ensure we have the latest branded products available. It’s our people that make our business great, so we prioritize providing the best up-to-date training to ensure our colleagues can offer expert advice and support.

We rely on our Hire Driver/Fitters to complete safe delivery, collection, and distribution of hire equipment to our customers. Working in one of our depots, you’ll be part of a team where everyone contributes to offering excellent customer service and getting the job done.

Responsibilities include:

1. Carry out routine equipment and vehicle checks
2. Maintain and repair the hire fleet to company and legal standards
3. Keep hire fleet maintenance records up to date
4. Ensure the workshop is safe, clean, and tidy
5. Manage the hire fleet within your branch
6. Safeguard against theft of company goods
7. Distribute hire equipment using company vehicles
8. Follow and maintain company transport policies
9. Serve customers efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
10. Complete stock takes as required
11. Perform other branch duties as requested by management
