Job description

BAM Site Solutions is recruiting a Hire Desk Customer Service Coordinator to be based at our offices in Kilsyth. The role involves working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Hire Desk Customer Service Coordinator provides outstanding service through the Site Solutions Hub by processing hire and sales transactions efficiently, answering calls, and assisting in resolving customer queries.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing customer quotations and orders accurately to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
  2. Providing excellent service by responding promptly to enquiries.
  3. Ensuring transactions are processed efficiently and customers are kept updated.
  4. Developing strong relationships with existing customers to support their daily requirements.
  5. Monitoring web channels for hire and sales activity to ensure timely order processing.
  6. Supporting customer inquiries via email and telephone with high-quality service.
  7. Gaining comprehensive knowledge of our product range through training and development.
  8. Assisting in cross-hire and purchasing from suppliers to meet customer needs.
  9. Collaborating with the Customer Service Manager and Team Leader to enhance customer experience.
  10. Supporting administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records and electronic filing systems.
  11. Coordinating with relevant departments to resolve customer queries.
  12. Keeping customer systems updated and tracking progress.
  13. Promoting a culture of compliance with UK & Ireland policies on safety, health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
  14. Encouraging product innovation and best practices within depots.
  15. Maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  16. Processing daily transactions, resolving client issues, and fostering positive client relationships.
  17. Communicating timely responses to customer queries and maintaining efficient order processing systems.
  18. Implementing improvements to enhance client service delivery.

We are looking for:

  • A numerate, analytical, and detail-oriented individual who is diligent and motivated.
  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
  • Previous industry experience (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
