Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced HIL Maintenance Engineer to support an automotive cyber security and embedded systems programme in the UK. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop test environments, ECU assets and lab infrastructure to enable validation and development activities.

You will work with software and hardware, flashing ECUs, troubleshooting rigs, building wiring harnesses, and performing hardware repairs while ensuring Linux-based test

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience working with HIL systems.
• Experience flashing and managing ECU software releases.
• Strong understanding of rig maintenance and embedded systems environments.
• Experience building and repairing wiring harnesses.
• Practical soldering and electronics skills.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.

Akkodis is looking for an experienced HIL Maintenance Engineer to support a high-profile automotive cyber security and embedded systems programme.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on maintaining and supporting Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments, ECU test assets and lab infrastructure. You'll play a key role in ensuring test rigs remain operational, supporting software updates, fault investigation and hardware modifications to enable validation and development activities.

The role would suit someone with strong HIL experience who enjoys both software and hardware troubleshooting, including ECU flashing, harness modification and electronics work.
