Job summary

The role suits a hands-on Site Engineer ready for more responsibility or an experienced Site Manager with strong engineering knowledge. CSCS required; SMSTS preferred for management track.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering highways, road widening, earthworks or civil projects.
• Setting out experience using Total Stations and GPS.
• Site management experience on civil projects.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SMSTS preferred (essential for Site Manager).
• First Aid at Work desirable.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily site operations.
• Set out and oversee road widening, drainage, kerbing and highways works.
• Supervise subcontractors and direct labour.
• Ensure works are completed in line with programme, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain site records, QA documentation and as-built information.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation.
• Liaise with the client, engineers and project management team.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues.
