Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a Site Engineer – Highways in Oxfordshire to join a major highways infrastructure project. The role requires setting out, surveying and ensuring works meet design and safety standards.

You will work with the delivery team to resolve technical issues, prepare drawings and inspections, and monitor progress against programme on a large civil scheme. Competitive salary with benefits.

Qualifications

• Solid background in site engineering on highways or civil projects.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications and apply QA.
• Experience with surveying equipment and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Carry out setting out and surveying duties in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
• Ensure construction works are delivered accurately and in line with design requirements.
• Undertake site inspections and monitor the quality of workmanship.
• Maintain accurate site records, surveys and as-built information.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors and design teams to resolve technical issues.
• Assist with the preparation and review of technical drawings, method statements and inspection and test plans.
• Monitor progress against programme and report any engineering or quality concerns.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental requirements.
• Support the delivery of highways, earthworks, drainage and wider civil engineering activities.
