Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Section Engineer for the Highways A57 Mottram Moor Link Road scheme, based in the Manchester/Longdendale area. You will lead setting-out activities, produce weekly programmes and manage QA records to support safe, on-time delivery.

You'll coach site teams in setting-out techniques, maintain ACPs and risk assessments, and collaborate with subcontractors to meet project targets while upholding our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Able to carry out complex setting out.
• Understanding of ACP and contract documents.
• Awareness of construction tolerances and specs.
• Familiar with Permit to Work system and raising permits.
• Knowledge of 13-week Stage Programme and site sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly programme and measure progress against KPI's.
• Communicate weekly programme and targets to the workforce.
• Produce ACPs and Risk Assessments; raise Temporary Works Briefs.
• Raise and action Non-Conformance Reports and technical queries.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to meet outputs.
• Monitor wastage against budget allowances and KPI targets.
