Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Section Engineer in Norfolk to manage a section of earthworks, drainage and highways works from planning through delivery. You will lead and mentor Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers, review drawings, produce lookahead programmes, manage temporary works and ensure quality documentation and RAMS compliance.

The role requires a degree or HND in Civil Engineering, experience as a Section Engineer on highways or major infrastructure, and a strong background

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Previous Section Engineer experience on highways or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in earthworks, drainage and civil engineering works.
• Knowledge of temporary works, construction sequencing and programme management.
• Ability to manage and develop junior engineering staff; SMSTS and Health & Safety training; CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating site engineering activities.
• Leading and mentoring Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
• Reviewing drawings and raising technical queries.
• Producing lookahead programmes and monitoring progress.
• Managing temporary works requirements.
• Producing ITPs and quality documentation.
• Maintaining accurate site records and supporting commercial activities.
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are followed.
• Working closely with subcontractors, designers and client representatives.
• Driving high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance.

A leading civil engineering contractor is delivering a major highways improvement scheme in Norfolk. The project includes significant earthworks, drainage, highway construction and associated infrastructure works aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing congestion and enhancing journey reliability on a key section of the strategic road network.

Your new role

As Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing a section of earthworks, drainage and highways works from planning through to delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
