Job summary

A Section Engineer is needed for a major highways improvement scheme in the Norfolk region. You will effectively monitor and supervise site works, including subcontract packages, ensuring adherence to company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications.

Responsibilities include coordinating supply chain partners, reviewing design packs, and maintaining up-to-date programmes. Formal civil engineering qualifications and safety training are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering with relevant vocational training.
• Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management (SMSTS, SEATS).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise site works including subcontract packages.
• Contribute to construction feasibility reviews and comment on packs.
• Coordinate supply chain partners to deliver design solutions on time.
• Raise construction issues promptly and escalate as needed.
• Review Temporary Works design briefs and ensure acceptance.
• Ensure alignment with latest design and contract programme.
• Communicate delivery requirements to Agents/Sub Agents for planning.
• Develop and deliver robust short-term plans aligned to programme.
• Produce whole-life programmes and resource-load them.
