Job summary

TSR Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to commercially manage several highways schemes in Sheffield. This permanent, full-time role offers a salary up to £55,000 plus a package including car allowance or company car and a pension, with 25 days holiday.

You will lead projects valued from £20k to £500k, review tenders, perform valuations, and manage subcontractor payments, with site visits 1–2 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a QS in highways or civils.
• Experience in estimating, commercial management and QS duties.
• Forward-thinking and dynamic.

Responsibilities

• Commercially manage highways projects with values from £20k to £500k.
• Review enquiries and prepare cost estimates.
• Review and submit tenders.
• Visit site 1–2 days per week to scope work and perform valuations.
• Prepare monthly valuations and submit to clients.
• Prepare final accounts for submission.
• Approve subcontractor payments and manage procurement.
• Support the MD and liaise with project stakeholders.
