Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Roadworks/Highways Project Manager to lead a Suffolk-based Highways project valued at circa £120m. You will support the senior leadership, drive programme management, and manage a high performing team across multiple disciplines.

The role requires a strong highways background with earthworks experience, CSCS and SMSTS qualifications, plus proven ability to deliver on-time and within budget while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong highways background with earthworks experience and ability to adapt across disciplines.
• Proven experience in managing projects, budgets and high-performing teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent with CSCS card and SMSTS certification.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative client and stakeholder relationships.
• Commitment to wellbeing, safety and inclusive workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of project work packages by budgeting and programming while upholding health, safety and welfare standards.
• Oversee all project phases from contract award to close-out, liaising with clients, advisors and delivery teams.
• Coordinate and monitor subcontractors to ensure specification and quality standards are met.
• Build strong relationships with client management and delivery teams, ensuring clear communication and stakeholder alignment.
• Identify and manage project risks with effective mitigation to deliver on time and within budget while maximizing customer satisfaction.
