Job summary

The role includes out-of-hours duties such as winter maintenance, with pre-salting, ploughing and weather-driven patrols. A full HGV/LGV licence is essential, and you must communicate at all levels, stay organised, and work under pressure in adverse

Qualifications

• Experience in ground works and highway maintenance.
• Underpinning knowledge of plant and equipment used in highway maintenance.
• HGV/LGV licence category C is essential.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team carrying out highway maintenance.
• React to safety defects.
• Participate in out-of-hours service including winter maintenance.
• Carry out vehicle checks and record in driver defect books.
