Job summary

Enerveo is seeking a Highways Lighting Operative to cover Dorset from the Piddlehinton Depot. You will maintain street lighting, respond to faults, and perform planned works to keep the network safe and lit.

Role features full-time hours (37 per week), Monday–Thursday 7:30am–3:30pm and Friday 7:30am–3pm, with on‑call duties and standby payments. A UK driving licence and hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Be confident working at height, including on MEWPs.
• Possess a full UK manual driving licence and travel across a wide area.
• Be safety-conscious and follow safe systems of work and regulations.
• Have a practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn streetlighting.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining streetlighting infrastructure and testing.
• Working with teams for new streetlighting installations.
• Carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs and maintenance.
• Operating MEWPs safely when required.
• Providing excellent service to clients and the public.
• Adhering to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborating with colleagues and clients to deliver works on time.
