Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Infrastructure Manager on a full-time contract of up to 12 months to support City Operations in the highways sector. The role covers critical infrastructure, statutory approvals and capital programmes delivery across operational and strategic levels.

You will coordinate with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders, monitor risks and compliance, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Previous highway infrastructure management experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in infrastructure management within highways.
• Strong understanding of highway operations, infrastructure delivery and asset management.
• Experience supporting statutory approvals and safety-critical functions.
• Knowledge of capital programme delivery and project management principles.
• Understanding of infrastructure risk management, compliance and governance.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work at both operational and strategic levels.
• Relevant qualification or professional experience in highways, civil engineering or infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• Support statutory approvals and safety-related functions.
• Manage infrastructure and highway-related activities across operational and strategic levels.
• Support delivery of capital programmes and projects such as Tame Valley Viaduct Management.
• Provide oversight of planning, maintenance and improvement works.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders for programme delivery.
• Monitor risks, compliance and safety across infrastructure projects.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
