Job summary

Arup is seeking a Highways Engineer in Manchester to lead the design of diverse transportation projects within the Roads and Streets team. You will contribute to local authority schemes, National Highways projects and multidisciplinary infrastructure, using Civils 3D/OpenRoads.

The role covers concept through detailed design across the full project lifecycle. You will work with alignment design, drainage, utilities coordination and 3D modelling, with opportunities to develop project management

Qualifications

Experience delivering highways/infrastructure projects.
Experience using industry-standard software (Civils 3D, OpenRoads, InfoDrainage).
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and work in multidisciplinary teams.
Professionally qualified or working toward qualification in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of diverse transportation projects.
Develop and review drawings, reports, calculations and specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Prepare bid documents for high-profile projects with tight deadlines.
Support delivery across full lifecycle of highways and infrastructure projects.
