Highways Engineer

Salary: £40,000-50,000
Location: South East/Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire/Berkshire
Region: South East

We are looking to recruit an experienced Highways Engineer (min 2-3 years) to join a leading Highways contractor working across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Working for a leading Highways maintenance contractor that operates across the UK.

  • You will be responsible for the planning and completion of projects and you will also support all operational activities on the schemes taking place throughout the area.
  • You will be responsible for labour, subcontract and material resources, ensuring that they are available as and when required.
  • You will be involved with the process of ensuring the timely procurement and payment of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Preparing and submitting weekly reports on progress for review including; project’s financial CVRs and forecasts to completion.
  • Attend monthly meetings with client to discuss project delivery and progress on the works being delivered.
  • Working closely with internal and external traffic management teams to deliver the works, as necessary.
  • Identifying and allocating resources internally and externally to the defect works alongside the planning team.

There will be an element of engineering works involved so a proven track record in highway or motorway maintenance will be essential and a degree in civil engineering would be advantageous.
