Access Talent Group are recruiting for a project management, commercial services, and design in highway infrastructure consultancy. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking to grow our Highways Infrastructure Design Team within our Cardiff office. We are looking to bring in a Highways Engineer.

The role:

1. Production of design documentation for highway projects, including sketches, drawings, calculations, reports and specifications.
2. Compilation of NEC tender/contract documentation.
3. Assist in the preparation of fee proposals, as well as supporting with bids.
4. Assist the quantity surveying team in the development of cost estimates.
5. Mentor and develop junior members of staff.

Experience:

1. Proficient in the use of Civils 3D, Keylines, Keysigns and Vehicle tracking.
2. Proficient in the use of current UK highway design guidance documents including DMRB, Manual for Street, Active Travel Guidance etc.
3. Working knowledge of the NEC ECC suite of contracts.
4. Excellent understanding and knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM).
5. Proven experience of successfully delivering quality highway projects in a high pressure multi-disciplined environment.
6. Ability to propose potential design solutions to solve engineering problems and applying engineering judgement to consider and recommend options.
7. Proven experience working within the highway industry.
8. Experience of working with Local Authorities, National Highways, Welsh Government, Major Contractors.
